Commercial and hospitality enquiries welcome.

Our Quality

Quality you can see—and feel.

How each range is chosen and described, and where the information on our product pages comes from.

Four things we look at first.

Material

Material listed where the manufacturer states it, with the steel grade, such as 201 or 304, only once confirmed.

Photographs

Photographs of the product from the manufacturer, so the build can be judged before you ask for a quotation.

Weight

Weight listed where the manufacturer provides it, so heavy equipment can be planned for the floor and the delivery.

Performance

Commercial equipment presented with dimensions, power and capacity, to plan a kitchen with confidence.

Specifications are based on supplier documentation unless otherwise stated.

How a range is reviewed

Before a product is listed.

Each range is looked at for more than its appearance.

UseEach product is listed for the work it is made for, from a countertop machine to a full cooking line.
PackagingPacking is noted on your quotation where it is known.
DocumentationDimensions, power and capacity come from the manufacturer's specification sheets.
CareCare and cleaning guidance from the manufacturer, passed on with your quotation when you ask.
SuitabilityEach product described for home, hospitality or commercial use.

A guide to materials and finishes

What the terms mean.

General definitions to help compare products. A product's steel grade, finish and construction are listed on its own page only once confirmed from the manufacturer's documentation.

18/10 stainlessAbout 18% chromium and 10% nickel. The nickel adds lustre and resistance to corrosion.
18/8 stainlessAbout 18% chromium and 8% nickel. Close to 18/10 in look and behaviour.
18/0 stainlessAbout 18% chromium with little or no nickel. Magnetic.
Mirror polishBuffed to a high, reflective shine. Shows fingerprints and fine marks more readily.
SatinBrushed to a soft, low-sheen surface with a fine directional grain.
PVDPhysical vapour deposition: a thin coloured layer bonded to the steel in a vacuum, used for gold, black or copper tones.
ForgedShaped from a heated piece of steel under pressure. Typically heavier, often with a thicker profile.
StampedCut from a sheet of steel, then shaped and finished. Typically lighter and of even thickness.

A note on specifications

Based on supplier documentation.

Unless a product page says otherwise, the specifications we list come from the manufacturer. Where a detail has not been confirmed, we leave it out rather than estimate it. If you need a figure that is not listed, ask on your enquiry.
